I'm sorry you feel that way PoisndU, but we we made two stops for everyone to catch up to each other at different points of the cruise (one right after getting on the freeway from Irvine and halfway through the cruise) which I thought was very reasonable. Furthermore there were about 60+ mustangs that were trying to keep together and it was very difficult to stay together as one unified group since there were some areas w/out traffic lights and only stop signs. We gave turn by turn directions out since we knew it would be difficult to keep together and I did announce in the beginning that it may be hard for everyone to stay together hence the directions given out to everyone.
Well thanks for coming out and we'll look into staying together longer but to be honest, the organization of the cruise really wasn't different from last year we did that started at Saleen-I was a part of it this year, but I didn't really change it too much other than the starting point and the prizes.
Regardless thanks again for coming out and we appreciate all the positive support and feedback that we've been getting from sponsors and attendees!

For me it was an enjoyable event. Not that I tried to keep up with everyone. I was surprised that I got to the end before about half of the sixty cars, since I stayed on the mountain for a while after the last went by, in order to get a shot or two of everyone making the right angle turn at the bottom light.
As far as PoisndU's comment goes: Well, it doesn't go very far. Easy to say "I ddn't like it", much more of a challenge to say, "What I didn't like was ... " and make useful suggestions. Or offer to pitch in and help.
Once I put up my pictures of the mountainside transition and Longshadow Ranch dining area, maybe he'll point out his stuck-together group, and we'll all be able to profit from his observations. I missed a few in each venue, I'm sure. Be a shame if it was them.
From my point of view, The point is not to "be organized", but to make it so anyone who has a mind to can have some fun. I think Mike and the crew did a marvelous job of that, an incredible challenge to get it together in ten days or so. Kudos to them.
I speak only for myself, not for Mike, or the crew, or any Mustang group.

I mean the one on 2/17 with 160+ cars....
It's not like I hated it, I had a great time and I met some great people and saw some cool cars (and some not so cool, LOL) but on the Saleen cruisethere were more frequent stops and the line was kept much tighter. A friend of minetoward the front was telling me he got to the winery 45 minutes before the back of the line.
If I was toward the front, maybe I'd have felt differently.
To be more constructive, I'd suggest a couple extra stops and I think we shoulda lined up again before we actually went into Ortega. There were soccer moms breaking us up all over the place! [>:]
Sorry if I came across like I was just talkin' ****. Not the intent....[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Thanks arodbrs and Fyougitive for comments. Glad you had a great time. We will be working more closely with the sponsors next year around and will try to bring in more! I'm excited to see what Shelby has up there sleeves for next year as they said they would kindly donate better prizes next year (we were very short on time).
I'm excited to see how the pictures turned out! Here are some albums from other members:
Looking forward to everyone's pix and if you have any suggestions please pm me. I'm going to ask my team for feedback and have noted comments from other guests that have attended the event. I did my best to talk to thank and talk to everyone there to make them feel welcome. I'm sorry that I didn't get to talk further with many of you, I met so many great people! Thanks for the feedback PoisndU. There is always the possibility of a single car holding a group up and it's very difficult to stick together. There are people who like to go fast especially on the twisties and actually every opportunity they get. I realize this and I attempted to highlight the point that some may get stuck behind others and the group may get broken up.
I'll be looking further into this issue for the next cruise. The difficult part of sticking together was that the route was part cruise and canyon carving. We tried to keep the fast drivers and canyon carvers together with the drivers who just wanted to cruise out with everyone. Maybe I can assign groups next year, I'll get to that when it's time to plan again.
Hope to see everyone again next year! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

I had a blast, but only because I was with a group of friends that STUCK TOGETHER.
Who ever put this together could stand to take a few lessons from the guys that did the Saleen cruise last year...
There is a LOT more energy put into these events that most people think, and no matter what the circumstances, 65+ cars is virtually impossible to keep perfectly together.
