Default Auto body and paint work in Mexico (especially Tijuana) have you had any work done?

I live in San Diego. I've been to Tijuana many times. I know TJ pretty well. I'm entertaining the idea of having my car painted in Tijuana, to try and save money off a paint job that might cost three or four thousand dollars here in the U.S.

In TJ body shops can be found on virtually every steet corner. Has anyone here ever had their car painted in Mexico and if you did how would you rate your experience?

Apparently, some people believe that by simply crossing the border you will either contract a deadly swine flu pathogen or be killed in the crossfire of feuding gangs, or at least that is all I hear about in the news.

If you are serious about a paint job you should get the prep work done in TJ, that is the most laborious part or check out the quality of workmanship of cars being painted to see if you want to get it painted in TJ as well.
