Default Winter Tires and Rims without TMPS

I have a 2007 GT and want to get a set of rims and tires for winter. Can I run my winter rims and tires without the tire pressure monitors from the original rims? I am trying to avoid the hassle of breaking down my original tires and rims.

you could also purchase new sensors to keep the TPMS system functioning.

the sensors would need to be reprogrammed. The instructions for doing so would be in your owners manual or you can find out from your dealer.

Reprogramming your sensors will take approximately 1.5 labor hours, so plan on spending $100+ on top of the cost of your new sensors..... and you will have to RE-teach the old sensors when you put your old wheels back on... Not worth it... just drive it and ignore the light.

<-- Nissan tech... i deal with that crap all day

150$ labor is nutz.
GM uses a magnet that takes you about 2 minutes at most to relearn.
If the tool is not available, some allow you to deflate, and reinflate each tire in a certain process and it will relearn.

I cant see ford being all that different, let alone charging 150.

Ford sensors are shipped in the sleep mode you needthe tool to wake them and train them. This tool does both( OTE 204-363)
