Default 18x9 front 18x10 rear?

I have stock chrome GT 17in rims all around and im looking in to getting roush rims. I'd like to have'em all the same size. However, as a set, the rear is an inch wider, why is that? what are the pros/cons? If there is a good reason due to handling or what have you id go with it, if not i'll just get them all the same size to save time on rotating them and to staty semetrical.

Just because the rims are an inch bigger doesn't mean you can't fit the same size tire. Mine are 20x9 front and 20x10 rear and all four have the same size tire.

I wasnt referring to the size of the tire. I should've made my qestion a bit clearer. What are the pro/cons for having a wider rim in the rear? because im sure there is a reason for it. Im just tryin to find out why.

so you can fit a larger tire for more traction. Plus, some people just like the look of having a deep dish rim in the back. That's how my 99 is set up.

Cool, i was thinking it had something to do with handling, since Roush is more track than drag. Thanks

With 10's in the rear you get more traction. That affects handling, particularly when you make a turn.
The down side is that you cannot do the normal rotation of the tires.
