widest tires?

I want to get wider tires but im too cheap to buy new rims. I like the ones I have on the cobra anyway. What is the widest tire size I can get on my stock rims? I have 245/45/17's right now.

255/45-17 is the widest we list.

We show your stock wheel width to be 7". A 255/40 needs at least a 8.5" wide wheel so anything larger than than the 255/45 won't fit on the wheel.
