Of the two, I would also say Nitto's, but why only looking at these two makes?

Tires should be chosen based on the drivers needs and decided by his budget... what are they?

my driving needs are looking for comfort mainly. the cars stock 96gt and i only drive it sometimes not my dd. and the reason im only looking at those 2 is those are the 2 cheapest ones i found name brand.. if you or anyone knows of cheapers ones let me know..theyll already be 700-800 dollars for all 4 tires in those 2 brands

I would not say that the Nittos would be "comfortable", but worthy of a stock Stang. That is to say, I would not go with a lower performance/harder tire to save money or gain mileage. I would expect some more noise than you may be used to, but probably not a lot. Nowhere NEAR what I get to hear on my R888's

... have you ever heard a low-flying crop-duster plane just over head on a back road?

I am serious when I say crop-duster plane with my tires!

Now, my tires are semi-slicks, so was not surprised to hear that, but litterally looked out the window and up in the sky to see where the plane was headed first time I went for a cruise. This is something I really only hear coming to a stop sign from 25~5 MPH or so and on certain types of asphault. The Nitto's will be nowhere near what I have, but without knowing what you are on currently, now way to even give you an idea. I don't see them as a problem and can compare the two..

Nitto NT555's:

Toyo R888's:

The less tread-blocks, the more noise, generally speaking.

Don't be concerned, the NT555's will be a nice compromise between traction, mileage and noise, have fun!
