Front drag wheels: OK to use spacers and stock studs?
They're 15 x 3.5 Weld Draglites with a 1.75" backspace. I'm using a 5/16" spacer to get it to clear the caliper. With this setup I can get the shank lugs to turn almost 6 times (maybe 5 3/4) on the stock studs before they're tight. Is that enough engagement, or should I consider grinding the caliper down and/or running longer studs (which would require using open-ended lugs with my factory 16 x 8 wheels)? They're only for drag use, I'm swapping them on and off at the track.
