Default are these tires any good?

the tires are falken ziex 512 tires. I can get all for of them for only $325 brand new. and the size is 275/40/17. it is a really good deal, but i want to make sure that it is a decent tire, anyone have any experience with them or know anything about them? thanks

I have not driven them, but are a pretty hard tire, so would expect high mileage from them at 420 UTQG rating. The tread pattern looks nice for rain and would expect them to be pretty quiet.

If they are a descent tire depends on how you drive your car. For a DD and no great expectation of corner performance or off-the-line acceleration, they will be just fine. If you want to hit the 1/4 or chase me out to the coast on the Fort Ross Twisties (see sig pics), you will not be very happy.

Turns out, the Porsche Club AX "Shootout" event between clubs does not allow passengers on the course

My g/f and I left the event 10 minutes after arrival (40 minute drive) due to this issue. There is NO mention of such restrictions on the event calendar page and was not told until our arrival. The ESCA, of which my g/f and I are members, does not have such restrictions. Was told it was an "insurance" issue and all the more frustrating! Have you EVER seen a person get hurt on an AX track?
