Default 2008 Mustang GT wheels on a 1988 Mustang GT

I got a free set of wheels off of a 2008 Mustang. I put them on my 88 Mustang and they fit when the car was still on jack stands(had to reverse Quad Shocks). Once I put the car back on the ground, I was rubbing the front shocks and the rear Quad shocks. Is there anything I can do besides spacers? (I've heard horror stories of them).

I'd hate to get rid of these wheels and tires, They look pretty sweet on there and are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Nero tires which are brand new.

Please HELP!!!!

For the front, you would have to run a smaller diameter strut or full coilover.
For the rear, you could weld on inboard shocks brackets.

I would recommend wheel adapters, not just spacers. They are safe to use, but remember to check the torque of the adapters any time you remount the wheels. I believe Eibach makes them.
