Default what size drag radial for stock 16" wheel?

what size drag radial would be best for a stock 16" or 17" wheel

i am gonna go to the junk yard and pick up some old beater stock rims off a mustang and have them wrapped in new radials. but i dont know what size/style radial to get?

these are gonna be my weekend only drag tires.

I'd go with a 15" wheel so you can run a higher profile DR for launching. I would recommend something about 26", or maybe a bit larger as I am not a drag guy. Anything larger will likely rub and can raise your effective gearing.

Ya 15" wheels would be best. A lot of people either run 26" or 28" DR.
