Default Quick winter tire question...

Hi Guys!

Ok.. so I'm forced to drive my 2000 GT convertible this winter

I just picked up some used rims that have the same bolt pattern as mine. The rims were off a 95 GT (they were $150 for all 4) 17" rims

Now to my dilema... I have been trying to price winter tires for them. It's a 245/45/17 that is on my original rims now (Goodyear) I want to get the same size tire for the winter rims I just bought but not too many companies make them

I found one tire place that sells Falcon snow tires for that exact size... now it makes the total diameter a half inch taller cause of the extra grip on the tread. Will this cause a problem with my struts? Someone told me that this will pose a problem with the ABS system sensing as well and the turning radius.

Do you see any forseeable problems in getting this snow tire? Man! they are expensive too! This is in Canada by the way and for all 4 snow tires including tax installed I'm looking at $1100!!!!

Are there any other options?

The 1/2" will not pose any problems whatever, just drive carefully in the snow As for any other options, head over to Tire Rack and take a look.

We have some snow tires in your size. The bridgestone blizzak WS60 would be the best one in terms of snow and ice traction.
