Default Question about tires

I have a 99 Mustang GT, my tires are P245/45-17, a friend gave me two tires they are P225/45-17. I need to replace my fronts would I be ok using these?

They will be both smaller in diameter, and narrower than your 245's. Plus it won't be a good fit on a 8" rim.

Those would not a be a very good fit on a 8" wheel. I would look for some 245s to put on.

they will be fine. 245-45 are the best fit and they will be about 3/4 inch wider than the 225-45. the wheel will be easier to get curbed with the smaller tires.

go on caigslist in your area and pick up some good used ones in stock size. could prob find 2 fronts for around $100

like smitty said, get on craigslist and find the right size. They would mount up, but i wouldnt go down in size that much.

I would definitely not reccomend the 225's. The curbs and pot holes will eat you alive
