Pic Request: Mach 1 Rims on SN95
#31
Well, I must rescind my previous statements (especially the ones about 6 spoke rims, obviously I needed to count and realize there are 7 spokes on the 10th Annis, haha) about the 10th Anni. Cobras not really grabbing me; like a fine wine, they grew on me, and after much deliberation and analyzation of numerous wheel options, I decided to go with a set of chrome 17x9 front and 17x10 rears Weather permitting and all things going well, I'm hoping to have new shoes on the GT by the 2nd weekend of March, 245/45 fronts and 285/40 rears, even though 315/35s would be BA Of course, that's assuming the car makes it through this weekend, when I'm aiming to install the lowering springs & new LCAs, along with as many of the "accessory" items as I can get to: headlights, fog lights, gauges, SpeedCal...With my luck, I'll run into some huge snag on the springs, but here's hopin!
And I must say this: I ordered the rims through OE Wheels based on reviews on this forum, Lance and Scott were both very helpful over the phone and they threw in a set of lugs w/ locks & valve stems for free after I mentioned that I found them through MF, so long as I post pics, which I will absolutely do. Great so far, I anticipate that the whole business experience with them will be excellent.

I am thinking that is gonna look sweet!! As for the springs the guys from CTS helped me install mine and it went pretty smooth. Just make sure you take your time and have a good set of sockets!! I had a great experience dealing with OE wheels also!

After nearly 10 years of accumulating tools, I'm fortunate enough to have numerous variations of most size sockets, a decent impact wrench, a solid set of impact sockets, wrenches, etc, along with MANY other various tools, so hopefully I'll have the necessary tools (borrowing a spring compressor too, just in case). Still, 15 years of rust (the car lived in Cleveland and was winter driven until 2003, I had to do quite a bit of derustification on the underbody) might make getting the bolts loose a bit difficult. Lots of PB Blaster!
