tire: fender gap clearance

Default tire: fender gap clearance

i got an 88 LX. if i go EIBACH springs 1.5" is it safe to go with a 305/35/18 in the rear or 295/35/18, or should i play it safe and go with 285/35/18?? thanx guys..

Unfortunately, you will not be safe with ANY of those sizes

You are really only looking at a 275 max out back and like a 255 up front on your Fox Body. One can go beyond this with some fender rolling at the very least. You would likely need to remove, or at least flip, the quads as well. There are several recient threads here of wider wheels/tires on a Fox body and can do a search for "Timspony" posts in this section to find many of them.
