Painted my rims (pics)
I painted them, they look a lot better.
Here are the steps I took.
1) degreased the wheels with Adam's all purpose cleaner
2) scuffed the rim with a scuff pad
3) taped the tires to protect it against over spray.
4) wiped the surface with alcohol to make sure I had a clean surface
5) sprayed a self etching primer since I my rims are bare metal. I sprayed 3 coats, 15 mins between each coat since my garage was cold
6) 45 mins later... The primer was ready to be scuffed again with a scuff pad to insure adhesion when laying down the base coat. I could have used a high build primer after spraying the self etching primer, but i decided not to.
7) once I finished scuffing i used compressed air to remove the dust. Then I wiped the surface with isopropyl alcohol to insure a clean surface.
8) i did 3 coats of base coat. First coat was light, the following two were medium coats.
9) after all 3 coats of base were sprayed, I waited roughly about 15 mins (10 mins if you're in 70degrees weather) to spray clear coat. I sprayed 2 coats of clear, 10 mins in between coats. First coat light, second coat medium.
10) I let them sit for about an hour to dry. The can says three hours until you can handle it. But I put them on my car after 2 hours.
I know I am missing a picture of my rims on the car, but I just finished not to long ago. Plus it is dark. Will have soon as possible. For using just rattle cans, they turned out good, I like them. I just wanted to share this with you guys, hope you guys like it!

Looks nice and a good job
Please check in from time to time with how they hold up over DD use. This question comes up fairly often and durability is ALWAYS the focus for me when one paints wheels.
