Default 315's 17x10.5" 98-04 Offset on S197

Hey guys like the title says... I like how the 98-04 offset looks on an S197. Thinking about getting 17x10.5 wheels in the back with 315's. Anybody have any pictures of this setup on an S197? Do you think I would have any clearance issues?

They are gonna be close to rubbing for sure, but will probably work.

I have seen lots of 10" wheels for those years on the S197 and they fit fine. The fenders are factory rolled, so is a big plus here. I recommend you hit up the S197 forums and see if anyone has reported clearance issues or anything, because that is pushing it for sure.

S197's run a much higher offset than SN-95 cars. You should fully expect the wheels to stick out like a mexican owned civic.

A 10" wheel will be right at, or just beyond the fender edge. It won't quite look like that... lol

Hahaha ok guys thanks. I may just go with 285, but man those 315s are tempting and cheap at that!

I know Griggs needs to relocate the rear CO's a little bit inward when they install them on their cars. The CO's are a bit farther outward than the OEM located springs, so a 315 should fit on your car, but I just don't know enough about fitment to tell you exactly.

Take a look at Choosing a new tire and the section on "I want fat meats". There is a link to a guy that runs 12"s with little modification, so have no doubt that a 315 can be made to fit, just need to know the proper off-set to avoid rubbing.

Appreciate it Jazzer, I am going to do some more research to see if someone has done it before I get them!
