Default Tire for 20" staggered

Hi,

I have a 20" staggered setup 8.5" up front 20" at the back. My current tire setup is 255/35 up front and 285/30 at the back Falken tire.

I would like an all season tire if possible, with a larger sidewall. I wanted to go to at least a 40 profile all round. I'm not sure if an all season is possible but a decent tire is a must, good wet and dry performance and quiet.

I have no preference on the width of the tire, just has to look right. The reason I want a larger sidewall is because of the crappy roads.

Please let me know what you believe is a good tire and the appropriate size.

Thanks

You must consider clearance issues that may be presented by a larger profile. A 285/40/20" tire is 29" diameter, where your current 285/30/20" diameter is 26.7" and OEM tire diameter is 27.2" Typically, a 2" larger diameter tire is the MAX fitment for clearance, I would do some research, if you want to do this. This will also elevate your ride 1" and will need to address speedo/ODO accuracy.

My solution is to just learn where the bad sections are and keep my eye out for new ones. I have HORRIBLE roads all over the place and just learn to spot them.
