Default 275/40/18 on 10"?

Jazzer you can probably answer this best, picked up a free set of 275/40/18 Goodyear eagle F1's with about 40% tread left on them. Wanted to throw them on my rear 18x10's and do a few more autocrosses this fall. (the 295/30's are showing some cords bad.. lol) Will these tires hold up or will i see some weird issues with the hard cornering with them being stretched a little onto the rim?

Thanks!

Could you recommend a tire size for the rears as well for next summer? Light autocross duty and daily driving. Unfortunately no drag strip use.

No... they will actually fit pretty darn well A 275 is actually a bit wider than ideal AX tire on a 10" wheel, but they will be fine. The F1's are not the best lateral grip tire, but if you got a good deal... GFI!

The profile will give you about 3/8" additional lift of your car and your speedo/ODO will be a bit off at higher speeds. I recommend you beat the crap out of them on the AX course and finish them off over Winter.

I work at a chevy dealer so every once in a while the vette owners will put newer tires on just because... lol so these are just some take offs. I do have one of those fancy dancy speed cal's so ill just adjust accordingly. Thanks for the help and I'm sure I'll give em hell before she gets stored
