93 Notchback Wheels & Tire Help 5 Lug converted
Hello, I bought a 93 Notch that has 94-95 GT 5 LUG CONVERSION F & B. I want to get some new tires and wheels. I want to go with a staggered look, not sure what backspacing I need for rear and front wheels.
Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.
Please post pictures of your setups for ideas. Thanks!

Width is gonna be 9" all the way around with 245's max for an un-modified fit. You can squeeze a bit more out back, but will require some work. As for off-set, this is a bit trickier. I am not positive with the exact amount of difference between the OEM and your new spindles/axles, but I "think" it is 5/8" additional positive off-set.
If you can tell us exactly how much wider your NEW stance, this would be of more help.

Thanks,
I haven't bought anything yet. 9" rim is pretty wide, I'd definetly like that, hard to picture the tire size width anyway on that size rim. 245 / 255 ? what do you think the backspacing woulkd need to be?
If I go 9" in back i'll prob go 7" in front.

The back-space is what I cannot be certain
If your car STILL had the original hubs/axles, you would be looking at a +18mm off-set or about 5.75" back-space. I just don't know what it is NOW that it has been converted.
Do some research to see how much longer the rear axles and how much difference the new spindles are from OEM. This will be easy to find, just have to get going right now*

*Besides.... this is your car, so you can do the legwork

Thanks, all the info I found on the SN95 axels vrs the Fox's axles ate they are 3/4" longer per side.
Other forums have people saying they can go 10" width, most say 9" wide. But no one mentions backspacing.
I was hoping someone with a vehicle like mine would chime in with there working setup.
Thanks again
