Default Nexen N3000 - Any good?

Has anyone had any experience with these tires? Looking for new tires for my AMR 20's. Looking at 255/35-20 up front and 285/30-20 in back. Car is DD only, mostly dry (S. Cal) weather.

Thanks,
Matthew

Anyone ever use them. Looking for new tires for my AMR staggered 20s. Car is DD, mostly sunny weather with occasional rain. No track time.

Thanks,
Matthew

When I bought my car, it had the N7000's on them, and I loved them. They weren't noisy, and hooked up great when I needed too. Wasn't an issue in the rain. Would have bought them again when I upgraded wheels, but they didn't have the size I wanted.

I can't speak for the N3000's, but if they are anything like the N7000, then I would definitely recommend them.

I see DD, but what kind of driving do you do?

They are going to be good in the wet and last quite some time, but not offer much grip for performance. If you are not into any hard cornering or getting off the line quickly, they should be a good tire for you.

Thanks Jazzer. I'm not doing any track time, very little hard cornering, any spirited driving will mostly be light to light but that's about it. Just something that gets me to work, will last a while, and is not to noisy.

I see them as fine for your needs in grip, but cannot speak to noise. I don't imagine they are noisy, but is a relative thing anyway. Do some research those who use them and see what is mentioned about quietness of ride.

I have the N3000s on my 2007. Been on since 2008, never had a problem with them. I only drive the car in the summer, and I don't race it. Nevertheless, they handle well, and are pretty quiet. I have about 14K on them, they seem to be wearing fine.

I have them and they suck. When I say that, I'm talking about traction at WOT they don't grip at all. This is also compared to my old nitto 555's. I didn't have the extra money to get a new pair so I got the N3000's.

How did they handle on the street and everyday driving? You say they sucked at WOT. Was that only at the track or was on the street?
