Default 04 GT Wheel and tire opinons

I have a 2004 Sonic Blue GT as seen below and am considering getting the SVE Series 1 wheels from Late Model Restoration (http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...thracite-94-04).

For Tires I am thinking about 255/35-18 BFG G-Force KDW 2 for the front and 295/35-18 BFG G-Force KDW 2 for the rear.

What are your all's thoughts on this combo?

Good looking wheels, I think they will look nice on your car (although the Mach's that are on it in the pic are very nice as well)

As for tires, the BFG KDW is a great tire in my experience (not on 'Stangs though). I personally would go 275's all around, as I loved that setup on my '04 and it allows for tire rotation to prolong tire life. I understand the desire to get wider out back for the more aggressive, staggered look though. If I went staggered on an '04, I'd go 275 up front and 315 out back. If you're worried about tram-lining with the 275's up front, don't...I never had any issues with 25k miles running 275's up front before selling my '04. Good luck and post pics with whatever you end up doing

When I see these wheel first thing comes to my mind is bimmers. It reminds me the bbs wheels. I would prefer Bulitt style staggered wheels

I am wanting something different and more agressive looking. The Mach 1's have served me well but getting tired of them. And wanting something that is different from the normal wheel swap.

Definitely agree with you on wanting something different...while I do love the Bullitt wheels on a New Edge, they are way over done (probably because the do look so good). I loved them on mine, and I had American Racing Torq Thrust (not replicas or knockoffs or whatever). I think those wheels will look good on the car, and definitely a different, sporty look.

Yes I agree with the 275's up front but if he gets 315's in the rear he may have to roll his fenders. Also I'm from FLW but am currently in Korea. Will be back in 4 mths though!

I didn't know the fenders may have to be rolled for 315's...I knew a lot of guys at Bragg were running them but wasn't sure of the mods required for them.

Who were you with at FLW? I'm fairly sure I've seen/drooled over your car before. Was it turbo at one point, or am I thinking of a different RFM 'Stang?

FWIW, I have BFG G-Force T/A KDW. They have great tread (look almost like scales). The grip like nobody's business. But they howl on e highway like an off road tire. I don't think I will buy them again. Going with Continental or Nitto next time.

I have heard that they are exceptionally loud tires...wouldn't matter to me, the drone of my exhaust is intense at 75mph
