Looking for some wider tires for these stock 17x7s. What's the absolute widest I can safely go?

-245/50-17?
-245/45-17?
(of the above 2, which one is the better fit for stock?)

-255/50-17?

Im pretty sure 235/55-17 will work but I'm trying to get the widest tire possible.

Nobody, seemed to think it would be a good idea on the OEM wheels.

Any way you look at it you may just want to save the money you would spend and get a wheel and tire combo. You'll probably spend $500-$600 anyway on new tires. That's what I opted for.

You don't want to go wider than 235 and that is pushing it for 7" wide wheel. Going much wider is going to make the car feel sloppy and it will wear out the side walls.
