Default Wheel Spacers?

Hey guys, I've got a 2001 ford mustang v6 with true dual exhaust on it and I'm looking to beef up the tires a little for a meaner stance. I've got stock wheels (16x8) and I don't want to buy wider rims and tires because I just bought brand new tires. I was thinking wheel spacers would be a good idea, but I don't know what size to get. At first I was thinking 1.5" hubsentric but then I saw 1" hubsentric and now I don't even know anymore, please help! What size would bring it out flush and what would bring it out further and should I get some for the front too? If so, what size spacers? (Again 16x8 all the way around) Please help

Might not be a big deal, but keep in mind the farther away the center of the wheel gets from the center of the wheel bearings the harder on the bearings. Don't go too far!

Just measure it with where It is sitting. Measure from the tire out and get your spacer the thickness you want. I went 1" with mine.

The only good reason to run spacers is to solve minor rubbing issues, in which case you use the thinnest spacer that will eliminate the rub. Personally I wouldn't go any wider than 1/16" or *maybe* 2 mm. One of my widest set of front wheels (11" wide) needs 0.6 mm, which is small enough that the existing hub centering for those wheels still works.
