Default Tire Rack to the rescue

I finally had to replace the factory P Zeros on my '13 GT at 38k and I wish I would have done it sooner. Whoever at Ford made the decision to put 235's on a Mustang from the factory should be fired.

I went with Sumitomo HTR-z II's in a 255/45ZR18, $106 each from Tire Rack. I've only put a couple hundred miles on them so far, but the improvement in handling and traction off the line is incredible. Tires should be the first mod anyone does to their Mustang. I can finally give the car some throttle off the line without shredding the rear tires.

The bad part is that I let Tire Kingdom install them and they chipped the paint on all four of my wheels, They also charged more for the install than the prices they advertised on Tire Racks website.

I talked to the manager at Tire Kingdom and he is supposed to be setting up a time to have my wheels repaired. Of course it has been four days and I haven't heard anything, so I'll be stopping by the store tomorrow to find out what the hold-up is and why they charged me an extra $5 per tire to mount/balance.

Tire Rack FTW, Tire Kingdom FTL

Thanks Luke, I did get a refund for what they overcharged me on the installation.

Now I'm just waiting on the reimbursement for $400 in wheel repair. This is the last time I'll be using Tire Kingdom!
