Are Mustangs hard on tires and brakes?

Guess we'll see how long these new pads will last. I don't know if all local driving (constant stop and go) caused them to wear out faster. My car does have Traction Control. We live in the hilly part of town, too. I think I asked the service dept. (@ Dealership) about it, and the guy just said it depends on the driving habits. It will be 5 years in May since we bought it (brand new - May 2010).

I think I might have read some where where it said Mustangs are heavy cars, so they wear out the tires and brakes faster than their counter parts. I can't remember where I read it. That's why I thought this Forum might have drivers who have owned them long enough to know. Thanks, everyone, for your help. I do like my car!
