My tires will soon be down to the chords on my 1997 Cobra convertible. The car is original except for the cold air tube and throttle body spacer and I'd like to keep it that way. My question is what was the original equipment manufacturer for Ford spec tires that were on the car when new? Borchures and other pics I've looked at don't show the tires clearly enough to pic out the mfgr's name. I'm not looking for the size, but the manufacturer.

I am pretty sure they were Goodyear Eagle Gatorbacks which are no longer made.

I did a quick google search for a road test of the 97 and then 96 Cobra..found the below for a 98 that mentions "The Cobra’s massive P245/45ZR-17 B.F. Goodrich Comp T/A tires stay planted "
