235/50's on gt500 wheels???

has anyone done this? just bought a set of wheels and dont have the $ for new tires yet. Can i mount the wheels now and save $ for the 255's and 285's????? please post pics of said combo if possible...thanks

the widest wheel the 235/50/18 is recommended for is 8.5"

Just wait, save the money that you would spend swapping tires that really wont fit right, and get some use out of your stock rubber.
