So I have some 20's with a machine lip and they are starting to pit is there a way to get rid of it and what works best to prevent it from happening.

The clear-coat is starting to pit, or the actual wheel material itself?

If it is the clear-coat, seems you will need to remove the tires and get them stripped and re-do it. I have heard that, especially on deep-dish wheels, the clear spray can be un-evenly applied. This can leave the issue you in which I think you describe. If it is the wheel itself, you may need to apply a clear-coat anyway to stop further damage. Don't know of any way to "repair" pitting if it is the wheel material itself.

Sorry, Jazzer

To me it has always seemed to be there and the wheel shop said they were starting to pit and so i have been cleaning them daily to stop further damage and its still smooth so i would believe it to be the clear and how would i go about taking off the clear

So it sounds like the clear-coat has gone bad, good (well, better than the wheel itself)

I am SURE there is a process somewhere that the wheels can be "dipped" and the coating would be stripped off. Do a Google and see what you come up with as far as ideas. You may be able to take them to a radiator or chrome plating shoppe as they have dipping tanks that may work.

I have NO IDEA if any specific chemical will hurt them..... SO DO LOTS OF RESEARCH FIRST!!!!!!
