...that isn't summer rated? i.e. can be driven in sub-freezing temperatures?

Not to link to a competitor, but here's a wheel & tire package that would be great for our 98 V6 Mustang -

However, those Sumitomos are summer rated. I need something that can be used year-round (mid-Atlantic part of the USA). Are there year-round tires in 275/40R17 & 315/35R17 (or similar sizes) available that would fit on those 17x9" (front) and 17x10.5" (rear) rims? If so I could buy the rims and get the tires from TireRack.

I'm looking into scottozero 240 for my mustang. I have a thread going on called "winter driving" but from my research they have great dry traction and great snow traction. A couple of corvette guys left some good reviews and they all have wide tires Check them out, there a perilli brand.

Thanks. I have been using the Pirelli Sottozero 210's on my wife's 2005 vert for several years, and they are great in snow. I use them about 5 months a year, and this will this will be my 6th season with them. They are a bit louder than the P-Zero's, but I like em for that purpose.

I just wish I could find a wide all season tire to fit on 17x9" and 17x10.5" rims. Summer rated tires are not an option. If I am spending $$$ for rims, then I want to run them on the car year round. And moving to a warmer part of the country is not an option for a few more years. Do the Corvette guys just park their cars all winter?

You can read the reviews on tirerack.com, but sounds like their vettes are DD. I'd image if vette drives are happy w/ them in the snow & dry, thats saying a lot. I did notice that you'll need a 18" rim atleast to get a wider tire. My understanding is that all seasonally tires pretty much suck in the winter for performance purpose. The only other tire I can think of is the good year f1 all sea & I don't know the sizes they come in nor how good of a tire they are.
