Default Wide tires

I have a 2011 mustang gt 5.0, base model. It has 18in wheels.
How wide can I go in the rear?

A 10" wheel is not a problem and can even go wider if you like. There is a link in Choosing a new tire thread with someone who installed a set of 12" wheels with relatively little clearance work to do so.

Look somewhere under "How wide can I go?" section.

*DOH*

... are you looking for max width on your OEM wheels?

I was thinking you were gonna get a new set of wheels and looking for as wide as you could go. Guess I read a bit too fast and supposed a bit too much

The width of your wheels will determine the range of tires in which it will support. I "think" you have 8.5" wheels, but I am not sure. In such a case, an 8.5" wheel is looking at a 255 max.

Do you know the width of your wheels?
