235/55s vs. 255/50s on Stock GT Wheels
Car has newish 235/55s all around on what I'm guessing are 17x8 wheels which are stock (5 spoke mags). I'm wondering if anyone has tried 255/50s on those rims and if so, has the sidewall flex been significantly more or less?
The 255s are 0.1 inch shorter diameter, so it's pretty much a wash as far as diameter goes but the sidewalls would protrude a bit more, I would think. I do note that Tire Rack's specs show them putting 235s on a 7.5" wheel and 255s on an 8" wheel, so I know it will work.
Anyone with experience here that can speak to it?
Thanks in advance...
