How wide can i go for rims in the rear?
I have a 1990 lx mustang with a 5 lug conversion in the rear and i am looking to get 98-04 cobra wheels. 9 inches in the front with 10.5 inches in the rear. can i fit those?

no, im going with no....but it might be close. im unsure of the backspacing on those wheels. but you need to have 1.5" wider of tire than rim, and a 10.5" tire is as wide as you can go with standard backspacing, that includes removing or reversing the quads
you'll need ghetto backspacing is my guess to go that wide

Fr500s are the other wheels I was thinking of. I'm not sure what my 5 lug conversion consists of. I bought it with the conversion already done but it has drums in the rear. And my quad shocks are already out. By the way how do you make it so you have a picture and list of mods everytime you post?

Spacers would only address issues of off-set, they will not allow a wider wheel I will give you a link, but you are gonna be lucky to get a set of 10"s with 275's on a Fox, without modification.
15"x10" on a Fox Body
