Default HELP! Rim/Tire problem

I installed the 17x9 wheels that I ordered from American Muscle. As it turns out they rub fairly bad. Despite the mixed responses on the wheel, I ordered them anyway. The tire rubs pretty hard only on the passenger side for some reason? The driver side rubs but isn't terrible.

Is there a way to fix this? I discovered the steering rack limiter, but that won't work due to where it is rubbing, I won't be left with enough "steer" in order to get out of my drive way. The wheels came from AM with 245/45 r17 size tires. I'm almost out of answers. I love the wheel, and unfortunately they are only made in 17x9 (Not to mention I have a pretty penny in it as well) So I don't want to have to buy new rims.

With that being said, will a smaller tire work? Say a 235/45? 245/35? Which is smaller etc.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! I just want to get this fixed, so I can focus on other things the car needs.

I'm sorry to hear that your wheels are rubbing! You can definitely fit a 17x9 on a foxbody without any rubbing issues it's one of the most common sizes. We also run this set up on our foxbody project car with a 245/45/17 up front and haven't experienced any issues. However, some cars are different and we've seen a lot of people running a smaller tire like a 235/40 or something along these lines.

Please shoot me a PM with your order number included and I'll have a customer service rep contact you directly and help you out with some suggestions!
