From what I have read it looks like the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or the Pilot Super Sport are at or near the top of the list of street replacement tires. The car will not be run at the track or any Autocross races. I am looking for greatly increased traction and to be able to drive 12 months out of the year. Launching traction first then handling.

Have you found any tires that are as good or better?

What would you recommend?

I bought General G-max tires for my caliber srt4 before. They replaced the factory F1 Supercars. They are a high performance all season tire with really good grip and good tread wear. I don't know if they make them in a mustang size but they are worth checking out. These are what I'm going to replace my all season pirellis with when the time comes for replacement. They are relatively cheap, too.
