Default Good Tire Pressure For Best Traction

Hi all I have firestone wide oval indy 500's on my 94 Mustang GT. I am curious what you all think would be the optimum tire pressure for max traction without destroying the tires/wheels? Is stock recommended the best or running a few psi lower? Thanks in advance.

To me, I've tried all pressures from 28 to 45 for various reasons. Ride quality, smoothness, gas mileage, traction, control etc. and I always go back to the old recommended 32 PSI. Seems to be the best for traction, smoothness and gas mileage. I have the same tires with only about 1500 miles on them but, love them so far. Much better than the stock Pirelli Zero Neros which felt like bricks that tramlined worse than a roller coaster with no traction.
