Default 17 inch cobra R Rims

So I had weld Rims on my foxbody and changed to 17 inch Cobra R Rims. After the change I noticed that the handling in the front got sloppy and lose. It wants to follow the ruts and cracks in the road now and pull towards the dips. Is this normal or may the rims have some type of damage? Can the issue be fixed if this is the normal?

I'm running the same rims on my notch, and it's just a wider tire up front just grabs more of the roads imperfections. My Weld's with skinnies up front ride perfect and straight no matter the road conditions. My 17" Cobra's with 235/40's up front grab every dip, rut, line in the road. My car was lowered and it threw off the front end geometry and it was a handful to keep in your lane. I raised the car up some last year and it made a huge difference. I don't know if yours is lowered or not, just sayin.

Welcome to the forum by the way.
