wheel spacers

wheel spacers
I am installing some wide body panels on a 2011 Mustang GT. I need to bring my wheels outward an inch front and back. I intend to add 1 inch longer wheel studs and a 1 inch spacer front and back. I can buy the parts I need from Jegs Performance.
Is there anything wrong with this approach?

It seems like it would make more sense to get wider wheels and tires to take advantage of the wide bodies extra space, or just get wheels with less backspace to push them out, not a huge fan of spacers.
But really wider wheels and tires is the route I would go.

I would never use the "adapter" style of spacer where you bolt it on first then your wheel bolts on to a separate set of studs. Scary!
I don't mind replacing my stock studs with a drag race style of high grade long stud and sandwiching a spacer between the hub and wheel.

Get wider wheels, possibly from among those intended for the Fox/SN95 (which I think run as low as +22 offset). There must be a few of these on Craigslist or ebay.
Truthfully, pushing what I'm guessing are 8" wide rear wheels out an inch per side isn't going to look all that good from straight behind. Even without that wide body kit, there's something about the resulting proportions that'll give it away that you cheaped out hoping nobody would notice (with the wide-body it'd be worse). I'm not intending any flame here, but I can't sugar-coat it either.
