V8 Supercars team TEKNO Autosports are a unique brand in that they also have a performance road car business to go with their racing duties. TEKNO Performance and X-Force have partnered up to develop aftermarket products suited to those who want more out of a range of vehicles from Holden Commodores to European supercars. Having a professional race team as partners has a number of advantages including added testing capabilities as well gaining knowledge from some of the best engineers and drivers in the world.
JONNESWAY TOOLS PULSAR CHALLENGE CAR
The Jonnesway Tools Pulsar Challenge racecar of Sean Ryan is sponsored by X-Force exhausts. With X-Force’s help, Ryan has turned a regular “grandma’s car” to a consistent top 10 finisher and it was built in just 2 weeks! As you can see in the video below, the car runs an X-Force catback system using a VAREX muffler.
TRACK TESTING
We don’t just spend all their time in the factory. They take their products and put them to the place where they get the ultimate test, the race track. X-Force regularly take cars with newly developed systems to the track to make sure they’re durable and of course increase performance. Many laps have been completed over the years to ensure all systems are more than capable for both race and road applications.
DYNO TESTING
Arguably the ultimate goal for most people purchasing an exhaust system is increased horsepower. The way you measure power is using a dynometer and X-Force has it’s very own Dynapack Evolution 3000 chassis dynamometer machine. The machine is used on a regular basis to see exactly how exhaust systems in development are performing. It’s not just about getting the best peak power either, a good exhaust system should provide huge power increases in lower rev-ranges as well to really give the car extra grunt off the line. X-Force spend countless hours on the dyno getting systems millimetre perfect.
NEW CAR DEVELOPMENTS
When a new model is released that X-Force believe will create demand for exhaust systems, they get their hands on them as soon as possible and begin developing the new range. Ahead of the release of the Ford Mustang in Australia, X-Force spent time in the US getting the system absolutely perfect for both the Australian and American Mustang models where X-Force exhaust systems are sold. They do the same for every make and model in the catalogue.
