Tell the world a little bit about your vehicle
This 1966 factory GT Coupe just spent the last 35 years (1978 - 2012) with it's previous owner in Greensboro, North Carolina. I believe Frank (now 82 years old) to be the second owner. The original owner ordered it as a customer order back in late November 1965. It was optioned out nicely with an A code engine, power steering, a banded windscreen, green glass, pony interior, rally pac, long console, factory retractable front seat belts, rear speaker, drivers side mirror and AM radio to complement all the GT extras. It arrived in Australia in January of 2012 with 68,336 original miles. It still has many original features including the trunk liner, spare white wall tire, jack and ratchet, all panels and interior are also original (except for the carpet and mats), All bolt on parts such as power steering pump, 4bbl carburetor, intake manifold and so on are original numbers matching as well. The engine has the correct casting number and build date stampings and there are three yellow check stamps to be found in the engine bay as well as the original crayon markings on the radiator support panel. This beautiful example of American automotive design still has the buck tag attached and is accompanied by the original factory build sheet of which I found the last piece (Bottom left hand corner) still stuck under the drivers seat in October of 2012.

Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Stock A code 289 4bbl

Suspension Modifications:
2" rear lowering blocks

Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Style steel 14" with BF Goodrich Radial TA's

Interior/Exterior Modifications:
All original as per factory fit (Except for the carpet that has been replaced)

Future Modifications:
The A Code 289 is showing all of its 46 years and is quite lazy. It will come out in the Aussie winter and get a total rebuild and engine bay will also get cleaned up and then car will be stripped back to bare metal for a respray the following winter.
