Do yourself a favor and call Saleen to verify that whatever dealer you took it to has a claim on your car open. Itseems like 95% of all these complaints about crappy Saleen service stem from the dealers. Just from these forums you can gather all the names you need from Saleen so you already know who to ask for. Bill Vaughn appears to be the warranty guy that solves problems. I'd call and ask for him. If he doesn't answer be sure to tell him that you are an Extreme owner and I'm sure they'll jump on it.

PLEASE take the time to take it to a known good dealer. I know it might be a hassle if you have to drive farther or whatever, but you will save a lot of grief in the long run. There ARE good dealers out there who provide good service and also work well with Saleen in warranty claims. Why mess with anyplace else?

The dealer I used fora warranty repair is a perfect example. They were not even the dealer I bought the car from, yet they were superfriendly and helpful, didgreat work on the car andkept it locked and parked inside next to the Service Manager's desk whenever it wasn't being worked on. I drive an hour each way to get there but now I wouldn't go anywhere else.

You should be fine as long as you make sure Saleen is involved. I guess I should say if you get the right people at Saleen involved. I guess some people think that you shouldn't have to be as proactive but unfortunately most the time you do. The guys/gals on here that contact Saleen for the most part all seem to be very pleased with the level of service they provide. If you base your view on Saleen from the information you get from the dealer you are usually disappointed.
All forums are the same. You get three or four people complaining on a daily basis and it seems to taint the entire board.
I've been very satisfied with my local dealer and the level of service I have received from Saleen.
I love my car!! Making an extra phone call to makesure things are being done properly is not a bigdeal to me.

+1

Mark and Rene at Buege were trained by Joe a Chicane so they know what they are doing. It's only a short drive over the Sepulveda pass for you. 10 mins. with no traffic.
