Default My new 5.0: The journey to restoration

Well, finally i got my long awaited fox body! I love this car, so much potential. New paint and rims, runs good. came with a lot of parts(stock), got a spare bumper(will proble sell, and he is giving me a bumper from a newer fox(i will also sell) complete back seat(i will aso sell) extra clutch cable, and some other odds n ends. the only thing wrong with the car mechanicaly are the brakes. needs a new brake booster or something like that. Not too bad for 1300. i spent about an hour vacuuming out the car and it dosnt look too bad in there anymore, i should have taken a before pic

found some rust where the spare tire is, should clean up fine is barelty starting to form. other than that, the car is exactly as decribed, great motor and outside, with a gutted interior. Only flaw outside the car is the hatch is out of alignment, shouldn't be too hard to fix. needs new door locks and hatch lock. also needs a cowl.(and i took those stickers off too lol...that was the first thing i did this morning.)

my plans for the interior are: all black carpet, console delete(cheaper and will look better than buying an old console i think) with black re-apulstered seats(or i may just throw some racing seats in) new steering wheel(hopefully i can get the same one re-done. and finish it off with a pro 5.0 shifter.

ok enough talking, PICS! and an exhaust clip!!( sounds funny, it is low on gas so it sputters a bit, but still rumbles )

(the flat is fixed now, just needed air)

(in the next 2 pics you can see some rust forming, should be an easy fix as far as rust goes)

(hope you like the broom, came with the car!! great hatch holder-uper)

where it sleeps

clip

hope yall like my purchase, i got a great deal i think.

Looks like you have a fun project ahead of you. I'd say you got a good deal. There is nothing to that rust, seems to be just a little surface rust, very minimal.

i like black.. color is relative

couldnt tell ya about the interior, this is my first fox. from what i understand everything is original.
and i would HARDLY call this thing a big project.. all it needs is interior. carpet and some new seal apolstery(sp) not to bad if ya ask me.
