Hey, I just got an 01 Bullitt and am wondering what the best exhaust setup would be for it.  I'm looking for loudness but I want it to pass emission inspections......and I also would like to know what make of CAI that I should put in, considering I'm relatively new to Mustang customization.  Thanks!

If you want loudness, I recommend you do a full exhaust system modification. Long tube headers(dont bother with shortys) with a mid-pipe that has High-flow catalytic converters(this is a must if you want it to pass emissions like you said you wanted it to), and a cat-back exhaust system. With that setup....that car will be pretty damn loud(not to mention perform better) and should pass emissions. As far as brands go, thats up to you. Do some research everyone has their own tastes and favorite brands because different combos of these three parts of the exhaust system will sound different. I like the sound of Flowmasters for the cat-back system, thats my opinion though. Bassani is a popular brand, so is Borla, Slp....just to name a few. Just my 2 cents, hope this helps!

Hey guys my name is brendan, im new to this site cause i just got a bullitt a couple months ago and ive started to do a couple bolt ons, intake, exhaust, etc... and now im looking to get a supercharger and i just wanted some input on whether you guys think its better to find a used one or save up longer and get a new one? im looking for a vortech or procharger system and could probably have enough to get a used one in 2 months and enough for a new one in 4 or 5.
I'd personally go with JLT for the CAI.

or

http://jlttruecoldair.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&manufacturers_id=1&products_id=73

It's actually cheaper at AmericanMuscle because of the free shipping :p.

Mac cat backs are loud in a good way not to raspy like flowmasters

If you want loud exhaust, you want SLP LOUDMOUTH, none louder, but I do reccomend doing the entire exhaust

+1 for jlt cai. as for the exaust id go for any name brand off road x-pipe and flowmaster super 40's for mufflers. this combo will sound great without any annoying pitches or droans
