The car motortrend ran was an auto. They had a perfectly prepped track and a perfectly prepped car. Also I think Ford gave them one with a more aggressive tune so it would run faster. The cars that are sold have very mild tunes. Mine was much slower before my tune.

I would also like to see some stock GT times. I have been hearing of all thes 13.2s or something, but I havent SEEN any...

From what I understand, the GTs launch like a bat outta hell but the gearing keeps the trap low, and also hurts the ET.

I havent really even seen anything like that motortrend run.

One of these days I will get to run an 05 GT at the track and well see... I still claim drivers race.

after i am done with a few more horse PWR squeezing mods i am going to get a dyno done in cambridge (45 MINS away) and then find the local track strap on some micky T's or some bf good semi racing slicks and give it my all ...lol and to think i only have about 1250 miles on this engine umm means good times are still to come.

the only bad thing i can think of is that i have a manual have driven a stick ever since i was 16 and only v-8's i don't find any thing difficult about the 5 speed in my stang (soon to be t-56 6 speed) it is just i have seen some terrible times with a stick compaired to an auto. this makes me nervouse i love speed and bought the manual because it is all i have ever driven. it is what i feel most comfprtable with but i am just nervouse that some how with all my hard work and modifications won't mean squat if i can't make my pony run. properly

I went to the track today to run but got rained out. Stock I ran 9.0 in the 1/8 at 81. That was with a 2.29 60 ft. Now I have the tune so I should be faster.

Well, I have no idea on /4 time, but I do know for a fact that I pegged the speedo tonight in a 1 mile stretch. Zero to peg to Zero in a mile.
May not sound too impressive, but was fun none the least.

I was at the track yesterday and there were 4 05 gts. They ran anywhere from 13.8 to 14.2 and all were manuals. I know the one that ran 13.8 was all stock, at least thats what the guy told me.
