I am looking to buy a new car this coming July and was curious on what all of you thought. Would you suggest going with a 04 Cobra, or a 06 GT with an aftermarket SC? I would really like the 07 Cobra but really can't afford a $40K car, plus I get A plan for the GT (and waiting another year would kill me).[X(] Any information would be great. ie, how well will the internals on the 06 hold up with a SC compared to the 04? To tell you the truth I'd rather have the 06 GT with 15K (+/-) still in my pocket for mods and other **** then paying 40K for a Name. I dont like the looks of the 94-04 mustangs so that wouldnt be a question.
given that the compression ratio on the 06 is so low and it runs on 87 gas it should take a s/c no problem. there is one kit out there that puts out 450 hp @ 8 psi of boost with an 11 psi pully available.

Depends, if you plan on doing some serious mods to the engine. The Cobra uses forged internals, dual overhead cam, and 4 valves per cylinder. It's going to be more durable if you beat the c**p out of it.

you will be able to get more power for the money from a 05 s/c but the 04 will be more reliable. for me it would come down to what body i like. drive both and choose

lol an 03 Cobra is probobly going to cost half of that, and i would take an 03 cobra over the 06 stang GT. BUT i would still love to have an 07 GT500!!!
