Default Anybody else hate the seat belt???

The seat belt seems to be too damn tight if I hit a few small bumps.

Any tricks to be more comfortable? After the seat belt tightens I have to come to a complete stop to loosen it.

Any feedback appreciated.

I second the suck factor of the seat belts. Plus the fact they are completely a P.I.T.A. to reach around and get a hold of to put on.
Would be a little more convenient if they did them like the trucks and had them attached to the seat.

Yeah, the seatbelts blow. If you thread them through the strap with the magnetic button at the bottom of the seat it holds them in an easier to reach place, but I suggest doing what I did. Go to a junkyard, cut out a buckle from a junker and stick it in. Voila! No seat belt and no annoying buzzer every 30 seconds!

Yikes... Dude... First GT... Please wear your seatbelt.

Don't want to hear about somebody dying without a seatbelt.

For safety reasons I certainly want to wear one... I just want it to be comfortable.

I was thinking a clothespin type device that slows down the belt from retracting easily.

Is there something on the market like that?

The only problem I had was in the beginning, the stupid magnet would never hold the belt. It would always pop open.

After about a week, it started staying and hasn't popped off since.

There is a way to turn off the warning beeps in the manual, something like buckle and unbuckle 10 times within 1 minute. As a high performance driving instructor I have to say, first gt, please use your seat belt not just for your safety, but mine too. It is very difficult to control your car in an emergency situation if you are trying to hold yourself in your seat with the stearing wheel.

There is a device out there that holds a set tension on the belt, I am not sure if it keeps the belt from getting tighter or not. The primary purpose is to hold the belt tight during performance driving. CG Lock is one brand I am aware of.

haha... The mustang has always has crappy back seats... along with the Camaro and Firebird. So I guess Ford decided to do that to keep with the tradition!

After all these years, I think the Muscle Car designers just put the back seat in there to satisfy the insurance companies. they are not designed to actually SIT in! The are there just to look at.

Besides. nobody actually wants to sit back there anyway... Everyone wants Shotgun... or the DRIVERS Seat!

I wonder how many people I can sneek into a Drive In Theatre in the trunk of an 05 Convertable... HAHAHA

At first the belts are difficult to grab while securing....but after driving the Mustang for 4 months I am used to the set up. The magnetic strap works well at keeping the buckle within reach. While driving I feel secure in the seat.
Good set up in my opinion.
