the car is a fox body with a 351w, C4 auto trans. I am putting in Mac longtube headers (MAC TF3510), just wondering if i need a aftermarket steering shaft to fit them in? I read a thread on a different site that says you do in order for them to fit.
thanks.

I've got mac 1 3/4 long tubes, i dont remember the part number. I have stock shaft but did have to run the steering shaft through the headers. I have zero rub under hard acceleration or anytime.

It may not rub, but it will COOK that little polly disc in the steering shaft, and its a total b***h to change once the headers are bolted up. I would reccomend just getting the new shaft and getting it over with while its easy
