'87 gt failed emissions...i bought the parts myself that the shop was going to swap...they wanted $1200...so far i'm in for like $250 in parts, almost done. just have one more issue. i changed the egr valve/gasket, replaced some vacuum hose under manifold, changed egr position sensor, and changed the "diverter" valve for the emissions system.
Anyway, issue is:
in the engine compartment, mounted on the backside of the passenger shock tower is a small black component that has an electrical connector attached to it. Directly below that is two small hard lines that are grometted together at this component. I need to know where these lines go to...mine were snapped off at this component. can someone w/ a 5.0 Fox go out and to their car to help me out? Thanks!

oh yeah, the component is called the engine vacuum regulator. i have seen through schematics that these lines go to the back of the egr valve, and a 3 T junction near the "vacuum check valve"...where is that?

One line goes to the EGR valve, the other goes to a y-adaptor which connects to two things:
1. The rear of the intake manifold.
2. Check valve & vacuum reservoir.

(I just fixed mine today also, using the following two images)
