I have an 03 cobra with the normal mods 2.93 pulley and 4lb crank pulley, tune, and exhaust. Ive had the car for about 10 months with the exact mods with no problems. but 2months ago when i start the car. a decent amount of white smoke comes out of the exhaust and does every time i start it since. But after start up there is no more smoke. The car idles fine and runs like the day i baught it. Im just now been able to save up enough money to be able to get it fixed. I just wanted to see if any of you guy have some ideas of what could be causing this so i dont go spending the money on things that MIGHT be the cause. Any info is greatly appreciated.

that is normal to occur right at start up, and also, right when u get off the throttle after a WOT pull.... its just a little bit of oil entering the system from the "fresh air" return line of you pcv system. some of the cobra guys install "catch cans" or "oil separators" to address this problem.... not really a problem, but im sure u don't want oil going into ur intake... this is just normal "blow by" that occurs with forced induction vehicles...

Steeda sells them for about $60. They mount on your firewall and runs through your PVC hose.

Same thing happens to mine. i've been told that its the valve seals. so its normal?

Got the oil separator. after install the smoke is gone! or down to a very little amount. which i can live with.

me too 15k miles hard to believe its valve seal 5 year old car in san diego were the temp stays the same all year round just once every 6 start ups
