Noob question

so first of all i know that this part is a good deal. there is a dealer by me that has a 03 mach 1 in the blue color with 11085 on it for 19k. the things i was wondering about is what is the plus of getting a mach 1 vs a gt? the second thing is is there anything i should be looking for in terms of problems on these cars?

RE: Noob question

First of all, I think that is actually kinda of high priced. Prob. could get him down to 16.5-17k. I just picked up my 03 with 17k miles for $16k. The mach's has a 4v vs. gt's 2v. They respond to mods a lot better then a gt. IMO the looks of the Mach are incredible, especially with the shaker hood. Take it to a reputable mechanic to look things over. Get a carfax. Make sure the tranny shifts smoothly because these trannies have been notorious for syncro issues.

+1 on stang 1101's comments. the mach just is a nicer car i think then a gt. i havent had many problems with my car. I have the famous ticking sound and i think im burning some oil. if u search this or mach1registry u can find the details on those issues. but all in all i love my car and would recommend it to a friend.

Carmax usually doesn't work with you on a lower price, just to let you know. I'd check its value on kelly blue book. I bought mine for $19k after TTL and 29.5K miles. That price seems a little high but location also plays a factor in that too...If you get it, you'll probably never even think about owning a 2v motor again...:D

that price vs miles is about right.

mach is 4v get is 2v
mach has 3.55's
responds 10x's better to mods
a lot more potential
only ~12k were ever made
those numbers are dropping daily :(
