my neighbor has had this gt fox for long as i can remember and its been under a tree for most that time. i finally asked him about it and he sold the car to me for $500. i figured wat the hell... i got 3 others and this is a STRAIGHT body... parts are worth more than that. car has been painted dark gray and the inside is light gray and black. 5 speed, x pipe, flowmasters no tailpipes, lx tail lights, stalker hood, & saleen wing. he handed me the title and i didnt really pay any attention to it and went and got my truck and pulled it down to my house. the jackass converted it to carb but whatever. i cleaned it out, put a battery in it and fired it up. smokes, but runs, apparently has had a cam change at some point cause it chops a little. (he said it was parked b/c is wouldnt crank... LOL! dirty carbs never work out very good) anyhow i got inside the house and looked at the title to see what it actually was (year model and such) i looked across the top and it says 1992 mustang gt/COBRA. i had to do a double take. aint this some $hit! but i thought cobra foxes were only made in 93. on the door is says 10/92, does that mean its a 1993 year model? i didnt have any idea it could have been a cobra b/c EVERY BIT of the ground effects have been changed to a regular GT except the wing is a saleen type. it has mustang gt on the side skirts with the vents in front the wheels and the gt rear bumper, the front bumper is also a regular gt... what you guys think? i know this car is NOT a canadian cobra either b/c this guy bought it brand new and we live in South Georgia. car has 132Kmiles on it

10/92 would be a 1993 man anything with a production date of 8 or higher is the following year. so yes a 10/92 is a 1993 release.
you just might have a production cobra, BUT it would not say mustang gt on the skirts or rear bumber and the front clip would look diffrent

post me some pics if you can , and also you can call your local ford dealer and give them the vin# and they will tell you exactly what it is, just call and ask for the parts department

I have a '92 GT and mine also says Cobra on the tittle, don't know why but I'm positive its not a Cobra it just says it on the tittle.

$500 is not a bad deal at all, thats a steal, you've just commited robbery.

i will get pics when i get out of bed later today and try 2 post them tomorrow... i work 2nd shift an hour from home and its kinda hard to do anything on the weekdays with the computer, but i guarantee i will have them up soon. i looked at the vin and its definately NOT a cobra. ford must have been trying to make their cars more "universal" between canada and the US. idk... but like you guys said, hell its defnately worth wat i got in it. that bish will run, smokes, but runs... i swapped the lights up front yesterday to the euro clear ones, but thats all... so far.  im prolly gonna snatch the motor out soon and rebuild it(leaving it carbed). im thinkin somethin like this: Edelbrock preformer rpm cam(matches the existing intake and carb setup), forged 2 eyebrow .030 over flat tops, hartland sharp 1.7 roller rockers, performer rpm heads.  but ill get pics up soon and keep yall posted, like i said tho, i work 2nd shift and dont get home till 330am so bare with me

Engine bay... gonna take out whats left of the ecu wiring harness and make it look a lot neater when i put the new motor in

I hate this color!!!

looks like the last owner started two toning at the rear and gave up

i kinda dont like the saleen wing either

power steering leaks like hell so the wheel makes it FUN to drive

those 2 gauges SUCK!!! im gonna relocate the temp gauge to the a pillar along with an oil psi gauge

So? worth $500?

i need the under side trim for the steering column(not tilt steering), the trim piece under the column(light gray), and the trim piece beside the drivers door(also prefer light gray). Hit me up if you got any or all of that and wanna sell it

its been sitting for 7 years under a pecan tree. its not got any dents in it either. or any cracked glass. im proud of my find. im thinkin of going back to its original colors of hunter green and silver. as for the interior, i already got a new black carpet for my 88 that was SUPPOSED to be red, so im gonna put that inside this car and start from there
